Disneyland (Anaheim, CA)
The "Easy" Vacation
- Size: 2 Theme Parks right next to each other. You can walk between them in 60 seconds.
- Time Needed: 3-4 days is plenty.
- The Vibe: Nostalgic, charming, and walkable. You don't need buses to get around.
- Flights from Utah: Very cheap and fast (under 2 hours).
Disney World (Orlando, FL)
The "Epic" Vacation
- Size: 4 Theme Parks, 2 Water Parks. It's the size of San Francisco.
- Time Needed: 5-7 days minimum to see the highlights.
- The Vibe: The "Disney Bubble." You are fully immersed in Disney magic 24/7. Transportation is via monorails, skyliners, and buses.
- Flights from Utah: Longer (4+ hours) and generally more expensive.
Which one should you choose?
If you have toddlers or want a low-stress, long-weekend trip: Choose Disneyland. You won't spend hours on buses, and everything is close by.
If you have older kids, love planning, and want a massive, immersive "once in a lifetime" experience: Choose Disney World.
