Planning a magical Disney vacation from Utah? We recently flew from Provo to Orlando (MCO) with Breeze Airways and scored an incredible flight deal that made our family getaway budget-friendly, stress-free, and tons of fun. Traveling with our 1-year-old and a stroller in tow, we loved the convenience of Provo Airport and Breeze’s nonstop route.

Provo Airport: A Hidden Gem for Families

Provo Airport is a dream for Utah families looking for hassle-free travel. We ditched the car and took the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus for just $2.50 per person—a steal compared to parking fees of $12/day. The ride was quick, dropping us right at the airport entrance, which was perfect with a toddler and luggage. Checking our bag was a breeze; we were in and out of the line in about two minutes. With TSA PreCheck (an absolute must for families!), we breezed through security and were at our gate in under 5 minutes.

The airport’s small size is its superpower. It’s calm, clean, and family-friendly, with a fantastic family room that is a family pre-flight haven. Comfy sofas, chairs, and a big TV playing kids’ movies keep children entertained, letting them burn off energy without bothering other passengers. We grabbed a chicken quesadilla from Guru’s Café in the terminal—yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the portion was huge, and it tasted great. Watching planes from the big windows added a fun touch, making Provo Airport a stress-free start to our trip.

Breeze Airways: Affordable Comfort for Family Travel

Breeze Airways delivered one of the best flight deals to Orlando we’ve ever found. By booking at the airport, we saved $88 per person on technology fees, keeping costs low for three adults and our lap infant. We opted for the “Nice” bundle, which didn’t include seat selection or a checked bag, but luckily, Breeze seated us all together anyway. Our Breeze Easy® Visa Signature® Credit Card was a game-changer, giving us priority boarding—a lifesaver with a 1-year-old. Boarding early meant plenty of overhead bin space for our bags, making the process smooth and relaxed.

The nonstop flight on Breeze’s Airbus A220-300 was a dream. Takeoff and landing were so smooth we barely noticed them, and we left and arrived right on time. The standard seats surprised us with generous legroom and width, making the 4.5 hour flight a lot more comfortable. The crew was fantastic—warm, friendly, and great with our toddler, who stayed happy the whole way. While Breeze doesn’t offer free snacks or drinks, they do offer complimentary water, coffee, or tea - unlike their competitor. Our credit card also scored us free Wi-Fi, which kept us entertained.

From MCO to Disney Magic

Landing at Orlando International Airport, we quickly grabbed our bags, stroller, and car seat from baggage claim. From there, it was a short 30-minute ride to our hotel, the Holiday Inn Orlando-Disney Springs® Area by IHG. After checking in and dropping off our bags, we headed to Disney Springs® for dinner and a fun evening. We grabbed dinner at Chicken Guy, browsed the World of Disney Store for souvenirs, and treated ourselves to a Ghirardelli chocolate milkshake—our favorite spot at Disney Springs®! The short walk back to the hotel helped us unwind, and we went to bed early to be ready for a full day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the next morning.
